Jesus taught that the two greatest commandments were, "... love the
Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind,
and with all your strength," and to, "love your neighbor as yourself."
(Mark 12:30-31) These two commandments form the basis of our mission
statement: Pursuing God - Reaching People. From a personal relationship
with God we reach out to others in an effort to bring them to Christ.

The River of God Church is
dedicated to serving God and
loving people. Our ministry
began in 1976 as a store-front
outreach on the East Side of St.
Paul, during the Jesus
Movement. As our church grew,
we relocated twice on the East
Side of St. Paul, and now to
downtown North St. Paul. Over
the years, we have expanded
our ministry on the home front
and have been instrumental in
planting churches in several
foreign countries.
In 1999 we became known as
The River of God Church, to
reflect the new work God has
been doing among us. We
desire more than ever to flow in
Gods love and anointing, and to
offer life-giving ministry to our
community. As it says in
Ezekiel 47:9, "where the river
flows, everything will live."
